Space technology is a SOCI sector with no asset classes defined, so no CIRMP obligations attach to you directly. Your CIRMP-obligated customers carry supply chain obligations that reach you now.

What is and is not covered#

Space is not currently a designated asset class under the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act.

Tranche two consultation proposed four space asset classes: ground segment, PNT support, Earth observation data, and space situational awareness. None is designated yet.

Building evidence that survives designation#

The control set carries three level traceability from obligation to technical control, so the evidence holds if designation arrives.

The output is a mapping you can defend when the obligation changes shape.

A warning#

Anyone selling you a SOCI compliance certificate for a space asset is selling you something that does not exist yet.
