Team

We are deliberately small. Engagements are led by the people who do the work, and there is no layer between you and them.

Bradley Busch#

Founder. Author of the ISACA Sydney Chapter guide to space cybersecurity for Australian critical infrastructure.

Bradley has spent his career making governance work where it had to be earned rather than mandated — regulated banking, payments, insurance and education. He was CISO at Tyro Payments, leading a 45-person function across cyber, resilience and Line 1 risk at a regulated payments bank, and CISO across AUB Group's insurance network in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, where the technology was fully outsourced and three regulatory regimes applied at once.

At Macquarie he designed the cloud governance model APRA accepted and the sector went on to adopt, and later secured APRA approval for cloud hosting of core insurance systems of record at IAG. Earlier, technology and cyber due diligence across more than $3B of private equity transactions.

CISA, ITIL 4 Managing Professional, GAICD. National board chair of itSMF Australia for six years.

Janis Lesinskis#

Adviser. Software engineer working across space, earth observation and fire science.

Janis worked with the Space Sciences Laboratory at UC Berkeley on FUEGO — the Fire Urgency Estimator from Ground to Orbit — on Carl Pennypacker's team, preparing a new satellite instrument for launch. Before that he spent three years at The Fireball Companies leading the technical team on fire detection: sensors, machine learning, and high-reliability platforms processing large volumes of sensor data in real time.

He is a member of the Space Industry Association of Australia, where he works on policy outcomes for the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act and Australia's space industry policy more broadly.

He is also the founder of Southern Star Tech, working across AI, space and energy — bushfire response and preparation, and earth observation applied to agriculture and forestry. Longer background in performance engineering, optimisation and machine learning across Python and C++.
